This print hangs in my home. The kite reminds me of a big holed bead or a toggle. I love the colors, the beach, and the approaching storm. The photographer is David Nightingale of Blackpool UK (a link to his page: www.chromasia.com) The print is metaphorical of who I am...when storms are gathering and things on the horizon look gloom, there I am - playful, cheerful and waiting to 'work the storm'. Don't we all kind of operate on the beaches of life...just right there on the fringe of danger? Gracie-Roux, "Grace", company mascot and pretty girl! June 29, 2009 - 9:23 am
Lots of administrative things happening here! It took me forever to find a card template which had the "vibe" I wanted to capture. These rolls of paper look like glass rods stacked together. I love the feel of this picture with all the colors and depth. I also didn't want to box myself in with just one medium represented as I dabble in so many different ones. Color is universal. I've been working on a logo which can be made into signature murrini chips - made of glass - which can be applied to beads. I think I've got one! Actually, I came up with two designs.. I'm also thinking about making silver charms with a logo to include in my unique jewelry designs. I've had all this PMC (precious metal clay) stuff for several years now - just waiting to be played with. I also came up with a slogan, "a little fish in a big pond". It suits me because I'm a Pisces and my art company is one of hundreds out there doing similar things artsy. Can't wait to unveil the logo which ties the slogan, the name Art of Grace, and the concept together! Enjoy your day! Smiles and peace! Teresa
another incredible photograph by David Nightingale - looks like a bead floating above the beach
